What does Soma Mater mean?
The word SOMA is the Latin word for the body of an organism. The body is made up of many parts that work together. The word MATER is the Latin word for “Mother” and is a reference to the Earth as the mother system of bodies and organisms.
SOMA MATER speaks to mother Earth / the mother system. The mother embraces and sees all the parts, just like SOMA MATER strives to see all the Middle East countries and how they can support a sustainable region.
The mother mediates between the members and similarly SOMA MATER strives to bridge the gap between private and public sectors.
